Cincy New Homes Thursday, August 12, 2010Developments That Make Me Go Ahhhh! Craftsman Style Home Sometimes the worst of times can become the best of times. In an uncertain economy, people need to come up with new ideas, better ideas; the old ideas just don't cut it anymore. I looked around for a better new home development and found it in Union County, northwest of Columbus, Ohio. It's called Jerome Village, Building around the existing community of Jerome, the new development will have a town center, nine traditional architectural styles from Colonial to Craftsman and prices ranging from the $200's to over one million. One phase of Jerome Village calls for 50 foot lots backed by alleys, a nod to tradition. Backed by Nationwide, the area will consist of single family and attached residential, open space, a town center, schools and commercial real estate. Nearly 40 percent of the land will be left undeveloped and a network of bike paths will link the homes to nearby Glacier Ridge Metro Park. This environment creates a place to live rather than simply a house to live in. The first home is expected to be ready Spring of 2011.
